The Wishing Well!

The wishing well cake!

A big thank you to Leonie (Alex’s Mum) for the wonderful wishing well cake we received today!
The cake looked and tasted AMAZING! We all loved it and especially the message behind the cake- wishing us all well for our futures (Whatever they may be)

Here is what it looked like…

Xmas Celebration!

Room I’s Christmas Celebration!

To finish the year Room I celebrated by decorating Christmas tree shaped cookies that were made by Miss Kyle. They were delicious and fun to create as a class.
The children got to decide whether they used Red or Green icing. They then selected pebbles, white chocolate writing icing and sprinkles to decorate their cookie to make it look like a decorated Christmas tree.
It was such a fun way to end the year and I know all the children enjoyed the reward and celebration time as a class.

Here are some photos...

To the children of Incredible Room I:

I will miss you all!
Good luck for 2013. I hope you remember the fun year of 2012 and that you always remember me in years to come. Congratulations on a great year of learning and I wish you ALL THE BEST for your wonderful futuresJ!!!! It has been a fun year.

A note to parents:

Thank you to all the wonderful parents who worked with me throughout the year. If it was to help take children on trips, brought in items to use throughout the year or even those that just came in for a chat every now and then I really appreciate all you do!

Thank you again!

Swim For Life

Swim for Life

Throughout Term 4 Room I have been participating in the Sea Lord Swim for Life programme. The children go to the Makino pools Wednesday and Thursday’s each week to work with some wonderful swimming instructors.

The children have been learning how to swim for survival. They have been working on swimming in clothes, with life jackets and learning how to pull others to safely using a range of devices.

Room I have thoroughly been enjoying the programme. Here are some photos of the children completing a range of activities in the pool.

The 'Royal Visit'

Last week, BEAUTIFUL Feilding had some special visitors...

Prince Charles and Lady Camilla came to town!!!!

On their way through to the middle of the square, to visit the farmers market, they drove past Manchester Street School. The entire school went out onto the road to wave and welcome them to our small, but wonderful town.

Here are some of the photos Andrew took of the event- Miss Kyle got a good one on her phone of Camilla waving out of the car window!!! (We will try and load it onto the Blog :)) The rest of the photos show the excitment from the day, but as they drove past quite quickly we missed out on getting some better shots.

Have a wonderful day....
