Dear Parents/Caregivers,
Room I is celebrating Manchester Street School Enviro Action Day, for Term 3, on Monday the 5th of September.
The theme for Enviro Action Day this term is Apples.
As you all know the children had the opportunity to order an apple tree of their choice, by giving a gold coin donation, earlier this term. The children will receive these trees on Enviro Day and all the class activities will be focused on apples.
One of the activities will be peeling, cutting and stewing apples. To do this I would love if every child could bring the following items:
-1 peeler
-A topping of their choice to go with the stewed apples.
Some ideas for toppings could be: sultanas, raisins, yogurt, cream, ice-cream etc.
Every child will receive an apple on Enviro Day, which we will use for the stewing (so no apples are needed).
I would really appreciate if ANY parents/caregivers could bring in a slow cooker for Incredible I to use, to stew our apples in, as I only have one at the moment, and will need more than one to cook 30 apples. These can be dropped to me anytime before Monday, or even Monday morning.
It would be wonderful if ANY parent/caregiver could pop in to help sometime during the morning. I need help with gardening and having some parents working with small groups to peel and slice apples, using peelers and knives. Please get back to me by Friday afternoon if you are able to support me on the Monday.
Thank you,
Miss Alicia Kyle.
