HAPPY EASTER

Happy Easter! What a nice day Incredible Room I have had celebrating Easter together. We worked with our buddy class to create some Easter baskets to use later for collecting all of our chocolate eggs and treats ;). I made and decorated adelicious Easter Bunny cake for the children, which they really enjoyed. Now we are all looking forward to the extra long weekend (5 whole days!!) to celebrate this time with our families and friends. Don’t forget to eat as much chocolate and hot cross buns as possible! Bike Safety

Bike Safety

This week we have been learning about bike safety.

On Monday, during the middle block of the day, we had Constable Hayden come in and talk to the Senior Team about how to put on a bicycle helmet correctly and also about what needs to be on a bike for it to be roadworthy.

Constable Hayden demonstrated to us how to put a helmet on correctly and showed us how to adjust it to fit our head correctly. She went over what needs to be checked on our bicycles and helmets. Constable Hayden also came in on Tuesday and talked about the road rules.

Room I students will need their bicycles and helmets at school on the following days:

Tuesday 19^th March, Wednesday 20^th March, Tuesday 26^th March.

Thursday 10^th April – Road ride to Timona park – All room I –

A separate permission slip will be sent home for this soon.

Students must also have sensible footwear- NOT JANDLES.

Here are Incredible Room I’s artworks.

The children wrote their names, in block letters, and coloured them using jovis. They then ruled even lines across the background and over their names. They painted their backgrounds using all different colours. The colour in the name had to be different from the background colour.

You’ve got the Power

What a great morning at M.S.S. Incredible Room I, and the rest of the school, were seated in the hall for a bit of a surprise.

The children were lucky to have a magician to come into the school and share some wonderful tricks with us. Not only did the children see amazing magic tricks, the children also learnt about important values that they needed to demonstrate and have to ensure they were building up positive relationships.

The children learnt some wonderful strategies to deal with negative situations, for example WITS. W- Walk away, I- Ignore, T- talk to someone, S-stop the situation.

It was a wonderful morning and here are some of the images taken from the show, Enjoy J
